Not that vacationing in Missouri is thrilling but I just spent the past 9 days in various cities throughout MO - Joplin, Sedalia, Kansas City, St. Louis and in Kansas, Overland Park. Do you realize what these cities have in common...they were all hit by tornados of varying size and devastation within hours or days of my visit. To make matters more curious, Minneapolis (my hometown) was also hit by a tornado, while I was gone. It originated and touched down about 4 blocks southwest of my home in St. Louis Park, skipped over and touched down again about 5 blocks northeast of my home. Please know I'm not making light of the tragedy that struck so many lives, I'm just saying it's an eery feeling thinking about the coincidences and know how grateful I am to have missed it all. I'm sure others have had near misses in their lives...anyone care to share?
