I need to get this off my chest. Last Thursday morning I was on the 7:18 AM flight from SJU to EWR (United). I was ending in Chicago and had a long day ahead of me. When I boarded this 757 and turn to the left to go into 1st class (upgraded-thanks CPU) I saw that a nun in blue (have since discovered she was part of Sisters of Charity) was seated in my assigned seat (5F). It was early and my mind (and manners) were not working and I told her I was in 5F and asked her to move. She did.

I feel awful that my manners were poor and I did not offer to sit in the aisle seat instead. I doubt she reads MP, but this is cathartic anyway.

Thanks for listening, I'll be quiet now.

As someone who went to a Sisters of Charity university (Seton Hill), I'm sure she'd forgive you. I love the sisters in blue.

Son, 3 Hail Marys should do the Job!
Kidding aside, perhaps a small donation to the Sisters of Charity would do the trick.

When I saw the thread title, I thought It was about some rude comment regarding undrinkable German wine on a flight.

Years ago, a coworker claimed to have opened up a Hustler magazine while seated next to a nun.
He deserved to burn in hell for a lot of transgressions but that one took the cake.

Good thing that there was not a DYKWIA GS on the flight with an uncleared upgrade, or GS would be whining that the nun had an unfair heavenly advantage in the upgrade queue! ;)

You should be glad she didn't have a ruler along to rap your knuckles :)
You should also be glad it's wasn't a Christian Brother as they have a mean aim with an eraser.

A bigger question is — what was a nun doing in first class?

The real question is... what did the nun get plastered on....? As far as Im concerned, anybody thats blue is drunk.... so in my book, unless she was on Malbec from Argentina she is booked into Purgatory until further notice....

    :p

There were 2 on this flight. One was seated in 5A as well as the one next to me in 5E. Interesting enough that 5B was empty.
