my husband makes salami, sausage and other cured meats as a hobby. this lends itself to some fairly enterrtaining dialog. i'll be posting it in this thread from time to time for no particular reason. today, i read the following line over his shoulder in an email he was sharing with his meat-curing friends: "my hog middles are totally misshapen" accompanied by a picture of some sausage. when i mentioned i'd like to share this line, he wanted me to be very clear that it's not HIS hog middles are that are misshapen, his are 'nice and round,' it's his meat friend who has problems with misshapen hog middles. so now you know.
