I think this will make connections between DL and AS MUCH easier!! I'm also wondering how the Board Room will be...:)

Yes all the connex will be easier since they are connected behind security

The Boardroom has to be an improvement too, given that much of the T3 Boardroom still dated from TWA! Of course the view from the T3 BR windows was pretty neat.

Would folks still have to exit T4 and trek it to T6 for AA --> AS connection?

My understanding is that the tunnel between T4 and T5 is full of stuff and work require work to open, and not sure that DL & AA will cooperate on that.

Agreed! Would be nice to see them open it up though! this would allow for easy connections between t4 -T8, but that's a whole other argument!

It would be nice, but I don't see DL or AA motivated to facilitate connections between each other or to/from UA.

Board Room is opening March 20th! This is confirmed by Alaska airlines! I can't wait to see what it will look like inside! Anything will be an improvement over the older T3 boardroom! And LEED Certified! Go Alaska!

From my understanding the Tunnel between T7/T8 is open and so is the tunnel between T7/T6 (Continental -new united- has gates in T6). Also the tunnel between T5/T6 is open because of Delta having gates in both locations! So IF the T4/T5 tunnel was to ever be reopen THEN it would allow for easy connections, transfers between T4-T8, but for now, we will have to do with just T5-T8

There is no tunnel between T7 and T8, and T8 isn't the same design as the old satellites that were used for T4-5-6-7. T6-T7-T8 are connected behind security via a connector concourse at the gate level above the ticket counters. There is a tunnel between T7 and T6, but it is used by arriving international passengers to access the FIS. There is a tunnel between T6 and T5 which is used to getween these two concourses, and then there is the closed tunnel between T5 and T4.

well either way you can get between T5/6/7/8 behind security! I think that's the point ;)
