    NY Times: Mount Pinatubo, 20 Years After the Blast

    The first thing that caught me in this article was the picture of the caldera - looks like something very cool to see. It looks like a great view and the drive plus a two hour hike is not bad at all. I love the finish the last bit in 20 minutes or be classified as a "senior citizen."

    The caldera lake looks beautiful! I remembered the eruption back in 1991, we were in Asia at that time and our flight from SIN to NRT was delayed for about 3 hours as the inbound flight from NRT had to take a significantly longer route to avoid the ash cloud.
