Curious if anyone knows the most MQM's earned in a year?
I've seen chatter of folks around 350-400k. Could easily be higher. With rollover, that provides for 3 yrs of DM!
that's some serious MQMs.
Wow! they could be DL DM, UA 1K and AA EXP at the same time!
I can't speak for DL. At the CO DO in 2007, there was more than one OP member with a 500,000 EQM plus total for the previous year. Twice-weekly transoceanic commutes in BF. These guys really didn't care a bean about their OP balances, they just wanted to hang out with FT folks and the CO top management.
I once flew 175k EQM in a year with NW and it was more than enough. For those who don't have to travel so much, I found that volume was past the diminishing-returns inflection.
Agree. 3 rd year hitting 180 plus strictly conus MQM and by November am usually worn out. Can't imagine commuting to Asia or Europe every week.
Holy crap that's a lot of flying! I feel so....inadequate now.
Ouch - I'm at about 220k MQM/EQM, but that's a lot of TATL..cannot imagine doing so all domestic!
IIRC the highest I've heard about was in the 450 to 520k range.
There was at least one person on FT a few years back who was regularly hitting that.
Wow, at 450k that is a tad over 1200 per day, every day all year. No familiar with DL's program but even if you get 1.5 (AA) or 150% (UA) for flying up front that is still way to much time in a metal tube at 38k feet for my taste.
I did about 335K one year a couple years ago, but some of it didn't count as MQMs because I was using award tickets on SQ, paid for with DL miles while we still could do this. I did five SQ RTs that year, mostly in IFC but with some flights in business class, including one that was a defacto RTW.
