Hey folks. Do you think we'll qualify for the mileage sign-up bonus from the new AA/UA credit card even if we've already taken advantage of all of the soon-to-be discontinued AA/USAir CC's?

I'm guessing we'll be able to gobble up another 30 - 40 K miles with the new card they'll eventually issue.

I think if they come out with new products, the answer is yes. But, since Citi is likely to be the card issuer of the combined airlines they'll likely keep a lot of the existing AA products.

Why do you think the Citi AA cards will be discontinued? I've seen nothing which indicates that is likely.

Ended my Sunday with successful re-applications for both the adults in my household for the 35K USAir (both with another USAir card still active). 70K AA for 5 minutes work.
