Today is May 23. I just followed a link from the home page of delta.com to special deals on Europe flights, and noticed in the fine print, you have to book the deal by May 20. (highlighted in red)

    Oops.

Also, note the speling erorr (highlighted in the blue box). "$894ach way"

Once upon a time, maybe 4 years ago, I really liked Delta.com. With each enhancement it gets worse.

This happens when the site becomes too big and there are too many fingers. I doubt that each field such as Punchase by: and Fare: are vetted by human. It is pulled out from some automated database. :D

True, but when a site is that big with that many fingers, anything time sensitive should be linked to a timer applet that messages a team leader as a time specific item nears expiration, or that automates deletion upon expiration.

The database entry that the promos are in should have a field that records the expiration date. There should then be a check when pulling a promo at random to display that first selects only valid promos and then selects one to display. Then they'd never have to remove things from the database. If they run another Europe special, they could just update the text and change the expiration date and go. Of course, this would require competent web programmers, and they all work for other companies. The intern and his pet monkey don't understand such basic ideas.

    Yikes!

Of course, maybe they are planning to roll out a working award calendar. Yes, and I believe in the easter bunny too. :(

You're more likely to find the Easter Bunny than a working award calendar.
