    In addition to the WestJet announcement of child-free cabins (separate posts), the following April 1 announcements were also made:

    -- Southwest would try to top its highly successful peanuts with TOFUnuts.

    -- Sir Richard Branson announced a new company, Virgin Volcanic, to take passengers to the center of the earth. This is the new logo, with the slogan "Screw business as usual." To quote Sir Richard, "I lava challenge."

    -- Spirit announced weekly flights FLL to the moon, with a $9 lunar fare. However, it is also assessing a a $1.2 billion fuel surcharge.
