In addition to the WestJet announcement of child-free cabins (separate posts), the following April 1 announcements were also made:

-- Southwest would try to top its highly successful peanuts with TOFUnuts.

-- Sir Richard Branson announced a new company, Virgin Volcanic, to take passengers to the center of the earth. This is the new logo, with the slogan "Screw business as usual." http://aviationblog.dallasnews.com/virgin-volcanic-13626.jpg To quote Sir Richard, "I lava challenge."

-- Spirit announced weekly flights FLL to the moon, with a $9 lunar fare. However, it is also assessing a a $1.2 billion fuel surcharge.
