Monarch Airlines To Become Low-Cost Carrier
Bad luck for the Monarch employees. I can't imagine how the entity can "become" a LCC, since it already is in every respect that matters....
Very sad for the employees. Regarding becoming a "low cost carrier", I believe this has more to do with the fact that they change from being a "charter" carrier to being a "scheduled" carrier. It's simply about definitions, yes, they've been low cost, very low cost in fact. I wonder how Monarch will do in the future especially when they go head to head against the likes of EasyJet and RyanAir.
