Went through security @ MCI Saturday morning for my ANC MR and was presented with this card when they scanned my BP. All pax who are eligible for PreCheck, even though we don't have it at MCI, will receive this card which allows you to keep belt/coat/shoes on, though laptop and liquids must still come out of the bag.

I've received reports on my blog that it is also in use at Jackson, MS, and FT reports JNU, among others.

That would be fantastic if they do this at airports not having an official pre-check lane. My little local airport doesn't even have a barcode scanner though. :(

I believe that will be the case for most airports that won't be receiving PreCheck lanes, or those that have multiple checkpoints/gate areas, such as MCI.

Jackson, MS & Junean, AK aren't on the list, but it's setup there. When is your next trip? Maybe it'll be setup by then :)

report from the PreCheck thread on the UA forum on FT indicates that true PreCheck just opened up for UA @ DFW.

Even if all airports can't do PreCheck, I am definitely a fan of this modified PreCheck, or 'PreCheck Jr.', :D as somebody called it on my blog.

They have it at San Diego Terminal 2 since the "real" PreCheck is over at Terminal 1 with United. (meant to write a post, will try to get to it this weekend)

Real Pre-Check at SAN Terminal 2 (with signs and everything) existed as of Saturday. East (old) checkpoint.

TSA hasn't updated site yet (possibly due to shutdown) - http://www.tsa.gov/tsa-precheck/tsa-precheck-participating-airports

Had real pre-check at DCA on Saturday. Yay!
SJC had the lane in place, but it wasn't open yesterday for the return, so we got a modified version in the regular lines. Created all sorts of confusion with people not sure which screening line to get in, not holding onto BPs to show the screener, etc. Would have been better and faster to just run everyone through the normal process.

DCA's pre-check is always in another terminal from AA when I've goen through. Did it change?

The modified pre check was in effect at MCI yesterday. After 3 beeps at the boarding pass check ,TSA gave a small red card to me. No need to remove shoes or jackets but laptop had to come out. It was a day trip, so I didn't pay attention to the liquids requirement.

Had this a ROA last week (flying UA but my boarding pass had the TSAPreCheck logo on it) and after the beeps was handed the card but the TSA officer who checks ID. Suppose it's a compromise where no dedicated lanes exist but doesn't speed things up if you are behind a long lineup of klutzes!

As of October 26, it's also now available at the San Diego Commuter Terminal! :)

It may have been there earlier but it wasn't available on the 19th.

Ditto. Had this on recent flight departing from commuter terminal. Still had to take liquids and computer out. Presume they are doing same in main terminal for AA security where the is no pre-check.

That's weird. They let me keep my liquids in my bag. Same at the main: liquids in bag, laptop out.

Of course, that saves you like 30 seconds at MCI, because entry is only about 2 minutes...;)

Even BGM now has a barcode reader. Got the 3 beeps. Shoes stayed on!

Maybe they are still trying to figure out how this works?

    :D

It was pretty busy last time I went through. F9 moved into our gates, so it's gotten much busier :(

They've always wanted laptops and liquids out of the bag at the SAN commuter terminal when I get the red card. They explained to me that the bag screener doesn't know whose bag belongs to an expedited passenger.

wrxmom, did someone specifically tell you to leave liquids in the bag, or did you just not bother to take them out and no one bitched about it?
