    Dramatic cutbacks in service by Frontier Airlines and a significant drop in overall passenger traffic over the past several months have led to reduced business for many restaurant and beverage businesses at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee.

    The situation has become especially challenging for establishments on Concourse D, where Frontier Airlines’ gates are located.

    “The airline industry can be very volatile and as a result, Concourse D is basically vacant,” said Joe Bartolotta, owner of Wauwatosa-based The Bartolotta Restaurants.
