I hope that neither the founder nor administrators of milepoint.com suspend my posting privileges for blatantly advertising a tool for frequent fliers that has been useful to me in the past, but perhaps this tool should have its own forum in ConcourseZ. I have been a subscriber to the MilesLink newsletter for at least 15 years — yes, even before the current iteration of FlyerTalk. In 1996, for example, this e-mail newsletter helped me turn 30,000 United Mileage Plus miles that were about to expire — no, at that time, there was no way to extend the expiration date of the expiring miles — and convert them into 120,000 Hilton HHonors points. To my knowledge, there has never been a similar conversion deal since. However, for some reason, I was dropped from the MilesLink mailing list. The last issue I received was on September 2, 2009, which was volume 12, issue 18. I did not know if it still existed, but it does. Although I know I can always read the back issues on-line, I have since subscribed again. For those of you who would like to subscribe as well, please click here.
