I'm planning on booking my wife and myself 2 roundtrip tickets to Japan and Korea for next year. As of now it is just the 2 of us but we may have another little traveler with us by that point. My question is if we are going to take a lap child who is under 2 years old do we need to pay any fees/miles for bringing him/her with us on the award ticket?

International lap kids must have tickets. The usual fare is 10% of the adult fare (discounted??? different carriers have different policies on this) for the cabin of travel, but some charge more and some allow you to pay 10% of the miles for an award ticket. In any event, you must also pay all of the taxes and fees in addition to the fare.
