I like it, but i feel cold when I look at it. I noticed it this morning and did a brief check to see whether anyone had commented on the snow.

Of course, now I'll expect new themes constantly, just like on the Google home page!

'Tis the season for blown synthetic snow in any hemisphere! If they can have ski jumps in Dubai, we can have snow drifts on Milepoint.

Switching banners for various occasions the way Google does can be risky business. You never know when a Grinch will steal Christmas.

yes, just a small seasonal thing we were experimenting with. Glad it appeals to you. Thanks. It's sort of how we customized the month of October with the pink Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

The snow drifts are fun but invisible in IE.

I agree...but for some reason with Firefox right now I cannot create new threads on MP... very strange!

Agreed, but living in Chile I've gotten used to it. Makes me homesick, actually!

I am making the final payment on a cruise today... I like thinking I'll miss a little bit of winter! I'll use my Sapphire Card for the payment... and get one for my husband and use that on the cruise expenses and a few thingamabobs around here! Hello 100,000+ points!

One very small "gotcha" in an otherwise fun experiment is that, at least on Google Chrome browser, it is more persnickety than it used to be to put one's cursor up on the "alerts" box upper right (which happens to be near a snow drift) to check for new posts on threads one follows, for for "likes" or replies, etc. Just wish that one batch of snow would have been plowed, ha ha.

I think it might be dynamic. I suspect there is more snow now than when I first noticed it. I wonder when it will melt.

I see no change between the current header and the snow in the graphics in post 1 and 8 of this thread- nothing has melted, but nothing new has fallen.

I'm wondering, however, if that really is snow, or if it's Randy's hair.

I'm waiting for santa's sled to appear, bearing us all gifts (in addition to the ones we already get here). :p
