So on FT there's the "Sign the Hemispheres" game and the "FlyterTalk luggage tags work" thread, and over here there's the "Sign in airline mag game". We don't yet have large amounts of luggage tags to spot over here, but that shouldn't really stop us :)

What do people think of posting random unplanned (or semi-planned) meetings of other MilePointers? Hopefully there isn't already another thread for this.

I ran into Daringdoo unexpectedly on a flight from SFO to EWR; she was in the aisle and I was in the window and even though I've met her once before I admit I totally didn't recognize her until she spoke up after I asked about channel 9 being turned on. We thoroughly annoyed the nice lady sitting in the middle seat with our conversating and then grabbed dinner in EWR before going our separate ways.

Do we have access to ANY luggage tags from MP? I have been keenly waiting to see if there is a shop with them for sale. Over the years I have had a lot of fun meeting & greeting peple with FT tags, so look forward to MP ones as well. You know, a kindred spirit by any name ...

Randy? any tags? I'll be really happy to get some pink ones ...

We're holding off until the May 15 deadline for "original member" designation. You'll soon have a unique "claim cart" that you can go to at your leisure and claim tags, t-shirts (if you are an original member) and other awards you might be eligible for at your convenience. Tagas will be free (for most members) so put away your SkyPeso's. We will have the only pink Fly For The Cure tags here, original member tags, general milepoint tags and even some premium tags ... we're getting close.

The alternative is to use them all at once. Think of them as accessories to add bling to your bag or jewelry for your luggage.

I can't wait to get my tag(s)! I love luggage (elite) tags! Having one, says, "I'm better than you....that's all" without you actually having to say it! :D;):p:D:cool:

Actually, we have a few demo's that take a little different path. When I designed and introduced the first tags, they were a direct knockoff of Delta's elite tags at the time (credit where credit is due). Having learned over time that they are really less about trying to "brand" the tags but rather provide a visual link to building more "community", a new generation of tags are visual in color, but also colorful in their message: More Miles, Fly For the Cure, Fly More, Elite Member, Frequent Flyer, My Bag, etc. Along with every tag distributed and also available upon your demand (claim cart) are our new referral cards—designed for you to pass along to seat mates and others you meet on the road to introduce milepoint.com along to others (with space to include your own member name). I know of no other program by any travel forum that is this complete and organized. So much to look forward to and much more over the ensuing months.

The referral cards are a great idea!

There should be a bedazzled tag, THAT would be awesome.

Of course you kids know I'm only joking, I would never say anything like that. ;)
Bedazzled? I wound anyone I saw with a bedazzled anything! Bedazzlers, snuggies and Jeggins should be outlawed, and violators castrated and killed, but that's a whole 'nother topic and thread!

Anyway...if anyone ever wants to spot a spud, I can be seen grabbing lunch at the Sheraton La Jolla's restaurant every other week :D

Everyone knows you can't accessorize your snuggie with anything BUT jeggings and only the cool kids can have their "As Seen On TV" items bedazzled. All the better if it's done yourself with a bedazzler.

I think we should have MP Ed Hardy-esque hats too. Preferably, bedazzled. I'll make my own matching snuggie.

Just make sure you bedazzle "MP" on the underside of the collar, so when it's popped everyone knows what's what.

That is really scary! I may never sleep again!

I punish him/her for life! Grounded until she/he is 30!

When someone stops me to say they noticed my tag, I ask them which one? The pink bag tag you gave me at SMD2 gets more people talking to me at airports / on planes than the yellow one (got this from an Aussie in BNE at the AFF AGM)! These are folk who know what the pink represents, & seeing the bag tag gets them talking. - some of them have also asked where they can get one! There are a lot of people out there who have been touched by cancer.
