I've been using HTTPS connections to milepoint for a long time and just recently that's stopped working. It looks like the port is closed on the server I'm directed to in England. nmap milepoint.com -p443 Starting Nmap 6.47 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2015-01-25 10:05 CST Nmap scan report for milepoint.com (185.65.40.11) Host is up (0.20s latency). rDNS record for 185.65.40.11: milepoint.nh-serv.co.uk PORT STATE SERVICE 443/tcp closed https Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 11.57 seconds
There's a post by Mark on another thread that HTTPS is not working at the moment. http://milepoint.com/forums/threads...l-sessions-for-public-wifi.7142/#post-2536802
Oops - wasn't just going to paste that link. Was for another thread. Just wanted to spread the FYI - things may be a bit buggy right now. People are working on it.
It's a bug: MP can currently only be accessed via https://MilePoint.com/forums after a login. If you attempt to use http://MilePoint.com/forums, you will be immediately logged-out.
I've been able to stay logged in most of the day (after some issues this morning) as long as I stay on https. Make sure to change your bookmark if you use it, you may have to override autofill in browsers, etc. They might throw in a redirect, but there are some bigger things they're working on right now. Sorry about all this.
I made some changes tonight and so far my testing has worked. After I logged in I clicked both these http:// links and they opened and I remained logged in. Please let me know if there are still problems with being logged out.
Too early to declare victory. Login seems to work, but you're sending non-http content. I am too lazy to dig into it deeper.
You can be lazy! It was the Milepoint Cares/Mags For Miles slider on the main page and now the advertisements. 1 out of 2 of those are corrected.
There have been some fixes being made - please direct anything new to this thread: https://milepoint.com/forums/threads/server-move-bug-report-thread.112980/ The tech team will be keeping an eye out.
