I'm new to MR and need 2300 miles on UA leaving ORD. Any help appreciated.
Do this twice and you are done: ORD-LGA (1,466 PQM RT each time) but pretty affordable and there are flights every hour. Take the opportunity to enjoy Gotham City and it will not feel like a MR...
Last year, UA had a DEQM promo for LGA-ORD, which I took advantage of by just flying into ORD with my laptop, working in the UC for a few hours and flying back. Did it twice and it helped me requalify for 1K rather comfortably. I also had e-CERTs that I used so that each trip cost me less than $30...
Minor correction: ORD-LGA is 733 PQM each way, or 1,466 r/t.
We are saying the same thing, aren't we? 1,466 RT = 1,466 r/t, no?
Duh. I misread your original post. Time for more coffee!
Thanks for the responses. UA announced flight specials to FL - found flights to MIA for under $300. Had e-certs, so flight cost $180.
Florida is always a good place to look for modest MRs. The prices can vary enormously from one airport to another or one date to another, but out-of-season prices can be very low. Have fun with it as suggested above. I had a great time in SF on my MR to Platinum last weekend.
Pop out to SEA and have a fresh starbucks, SFO for a sourdough breae bowl or LAX for an in-n-out burger and you can get it with just one rounf trip.
