.bomb wesite has changed to the new logo. I was shocked:(. It also includes the new Mileage Plus logo. Therefore I guess the merged FFP will still be call Mileage Plus.
It will take me a while to get used to the new logo...

Nice find, although I don't necessarily think it's dispositive, given that this is only interim branding to present a unified (non-Tulip) image. We will see an entire relaunch for the 2012 program year, complete with a new marketing campaign for the post-merger company, which could bring a new name for the program as well.

The UA website has the new logo and some changes as well. Not sure how I feel about seeing Mileage Plus written in a bold yellow font.

I really think the logo for mileage plus is extremely ugly, especially when it is anywhere near the united logo. The font works, but the coloring does not, and really with the colors of the brand, the plus should be more gold than yellow.

Also, it appears that they are still having to go through the pages and update them, as the elite status page has the new mileage plus logo, but is still in the old United template.

Really? That's the best they could come up with?

As a side note here. Don't expect a Hemisphere anytime soon on a UA plane. They had to trash the first March patch because someone in marketing or magazines put the old logo on the magazine. OPPS!

There's a link to "About our new logo" at the top right of the home page, which leads to this drivel:

I just threw up a little in my mouth.

The favicon is still the tulip, at least in my bookmarks. I assume its death is imminent.

At least on IE9 RC1...the site's icon (what shows up in the address bar) is still the old tulip. At least there's still a tulip around somewhere!

For now. As of this writing, when I check my itineraries, no logo whatsoever is on the top. They're likely changing it as I write this.

I'm bummed about the tulip going away, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Further, I couldn't care less what the Mileage Plus logo ends up being, there are more significant things to worry about. What's under the hood of the program is what counts.

...I think good old IE was caching the image. When I go to the site in FireFox...it does indeed have the new logo at the top in the address bar. I totally agree with your post Captain Oveur... it's "what's under the hood of the program" that counts!!!

I'm on Firefox v4, Beta 12 and the tulip is still there, as is everything I mentioned earlier in the thread.

Hold the shift key down as you click the refresh button in your browser. The new graphics will load. You're just looking at a cache that hasn't refreshed yet.

Gotta love that the color they're using for the favicon on .bomb is different than the color on continental.com

Maybe now they will tell us what the "plus" is for! Being able to buy ridiculously overpriced items from some obscure online shop certainly isn't a plus!

Agreed. There's still plenty of time to change the name of the program.

And I also agree with others that the "Mileage Plus" with the gold coloring doesn't look that exciting or for that matter like they spent more than 10 minutes on the design.

On both my PC and MAC screens the "PLUS" is more Gold than Yellow - sort of a deep mustard, I guess.

Is the MileagePlus UNITED [Globe} all part of the new logo? Sort of messy looking to me.

I did notice that further down the same page "United Vacations" still has the old tulip. Definately a work in progress.

I'm not too picky about the logo, or really, for that matter, the name. As long as they keep it attractive for me to earn and use miles, they can call it Main Street Miles for all I care.

Oh, and don't change my member number. It's one of the few numbers in life that I have memorized.

I'd rather keep my CO number. I've got it memorized. :D
