What happened to the Plat card access to AA lounges when flying AA? This just lists DL and US, but doesn't specify that one must be flying DL to access SCs.

It mentions all of the standard language in the footnotes. Same as regular Platinum card:

    7. The Platinum Card® from American Express exclusively for Mercedes-Benz member must be traveling. Name on ticket must match name on the Mercedes-Benz Platinum Card. (Ticket not required for US Airways® Clubs.) The Mercedes-Benz Platinum Cardmember must be 18 years of age to enter the Airport Club Lounge without a parent or guardian for American Airlines Admirals Club® lounges. For Delta Sky club™ lounges the member must be 18 where there is no self-service bar. The Mercedes-Benz Platinum Cardmember must be 21 years of age to enter into all Airport Club Lounges where there is a self-service bar. Local age restrictions apply in non-U.S. locations. The Mercedes-Benz Platinum Cardmember's spouse and children under the age of 21 or up to two companions may enter the club as complimentary guests. Code-share and affiliated lounge agreements may not apply. Employee travel-related benefit tickets are not eligible with American Airlines. The Mercedes-Benz Platinum Cardmember must present his or her valid Card, government-issued I.D., and same day airline ticket to club agents. (Ticket not required for US Airways® Clubs.) Complimentary access is specifically for the airport club that corresponds to the airline operating the flight (access pertains to the aircraft, not the flight number) except with respect to American Airlines marketed code share flights with an American Airlines flight number which are also eligible for complimentary access to the lounge. Meeting rooms may be reserved for a nominal fee. Cardmembers must adhere to all house rules of participating clubs. For a list of participating airport club locations, call Platinum Member Services. Partners and locations subject to change.

Strange that their ad/announcement only listed DL and US lounges, not AA.

$1000 off a benz isnt a major incentive when writing a check for a 80-100k car. now if it was similar to the old gm card that accumulated points/dollars as you spent, and then apply those points/dollars to buying a car, that would be a compelling offer.
looks like the best feature of the card is the 50k points for initial spending. thanks for the link!

3x points on gas and 2x points on restaurants is the best I've seen for those categories for an Amex MR card

Unless I am reading the fine print wrong don't you only get 5x points on Mercedes Benz expenditure and everything else is just 1X MR point.

Just FYI on the Amex Facebook page, Amex says that this Plat card has all of the same benefits as the regular Plat card....including the $200 airline credit. If they are correct, it's not a bad deal if you have been considering a Plat card!

    And the Costco Amex has:

    3% rebate on gas,
2% rebate on restaurants & travel,
1% rebate on everything else, and
    No annual fee.

Nothing extra on the Benz purchases, but then again cash is cash.

I believe it does come with Priority Pass.

Seems like it pretty much is a Platinum card like someone else mentioned but with MB affiliation.

True. Unless you want additional cardmembers on your account. 3 Plat Cards for $175 is not offered with this card or at least I could not find it in the T&C

Yes it comes with priority pass.
I have had both the Amex plat ( two years ago) and Amex Mercedes plat (currently). Love the benefits but still thinking what to do when the renewal fee comes up.
I'm not sure I'm willing to pay another 450 without a sign up bonus.
