WSJ: He Carries On, She Likes to Check

I saw this on FT and thought I'd share here...did not see it posted, so please post a link if the thread exists.

I find it interesting (and untrue, perhaps) that womens' choice of magazines in a Sky Club would be Better Homes and Gardens. REALLY!?! I'm sure there are those who read it, but may of us find other magazines more interesting...

The article references a milepoint.com survey, but I do not recall seeing it...

    :)

    Shocking indeed.;)

I'm surprised however that women and men are still categorized today, it's a very fragmented world out there and surely times have moved on too, and this incl. individual tastes and preferences.:)

    I don't own an e-reader nor a tablet. A book or two, I have.:)

Agree. There are many women where football is a priority and house decorating is off the radar.

I do think a lot of the differences in "territory defending" are related to body size and shape more than gender. But correlated due to the general relative size differences between men and women.

That was my first thought for that difference as well as for some of the others. Window/aisle may trace to the same reasons.

I hope you ladies leave a salad for me. :D

Anybody who's ever cohabited with a female will not be surprised by this. :p

Wow, that's just rude. I give up the armrest if I'm sitting next to a woman.

I guess anything "live" just catches our attention.. :p

I'm one of the persons who would occasionally (or maybe more than occasionally) do that.. Its a force of habit am afraid, the reason why is more than 90% of the time, the person sitting next to me is a guy. :)

I recently had a middle seat with a woman on either side. The one at the window nestled into the window and the one on the aisle took the armrest. As a bigger guy I prefer window or aisle so i can lean away from the shared armrest.

I wonder if the MP survey was done at the DO.

I better title, for married couples at least, would be:

"Men vs. Women Travelers: She leads, he follows.**"

**If he knows what's good for him that is.
