Hi. I have a bunch of unexpired Delta Medallion drink coupons.

I have a Delta Connection flight up to YYG this weekend. Will they be honored on the flight? Or, does being a commuter flight or an "international" flight preclude use?

Delta connection should not be a problem. No idea on international, but suspect that's fine also.

I've even used expired drink coupons on DL connection, but to/from Canada, I've always been in FC. However, I don't know why international would make a difference.

They always work in FC, expired or not.

But only if there's FC on your RJ. If you're upgraded into the cockpit, FAs aren't allowed to serve alcohol there.

    Thanks for the thoughts.

YYG is one-class service, so, while I guess I'm in the "forward cabin," there is no rear cabin. This would be a good situation if I was on Concorde or an SQ A-345, but it is less good on a DL RJ.

This is pretty much my only flight each year in Y on DL, so it will be the only time I get to use these. I've got 8. That should be enough for at least the way up. ;)

Haha. It will be me plus the two kids on the way up, and me plus the two kids plus two grown ups on the way back. If I have any coupons left over, I'll offer them free to a good home or something here on MP.

I mean...I have had 6 Woodfords and 2 beers on a DTW-MHT flight before that was blocked at 1:06. :D

I used to be better in my college days. Sadly, those days are gone (though I can still knock them back at a pretty good clip). :D

Last year, I ran through all of the Coronas on an AA flight from ord to LGA ... While we were still on the ground! They stocked the flight with six Coronas...and we had a two hour delay.

Travelling with the kids, I suspect this trip will be limited to two on the way up.

A touch of Jack in the apple jucie and the kids will shouldn't be a problem.

Surprised they didn't go back to the gate to get re-catered ;)

Funny that you mention that. We were at the gate still. Having a six-pack in me, I was more willing than usual to ask creative questions - and the FA was joking around with me (and my drinking seat mate as well).

I asked if she could pop over to the 757 at the next gate to see what she could grab from their galley. She responded with something about having been previously married to the captain of that flight, and it would have been uncomfortable for her to go over there. Her delivery was actually pretty good, though I don't remember the exact details (recall that six pack, which is what prompted the tongue-in-cheek suggestion in the first place).
