    If you look at value of the things he and his wife stole I bet it is a lot more than most people make in six months!

    But he has already lost his job and clearance, and future blot in his job-history :)

    Ahhh.... but this assumes future jobs actually do a background check and they really cancelled his clearance! It is also not clear how long he had been doing this before he was caught and how much he may have stashed away - it just seems to me that six months (of which he'll probably serve very little) is hardly a deterrent, esp. when others who commit a felony (value of goods exceeding a certain amount) get much longer sentences.

    Crime may not pay, but the hours are excellent, and there is a great retirement plan- free room, board and medical coverage in a secure care facility.
