Upon checking my mailbox this evening, I found a letter from AA. To my delight, the letter enclosed three AAdmirals Club passses which are valid for all day use. This is a very fine gesture on the part of AA. They seem to be doing as much as possible to earn the business of United 1Ks and other airlines top elites. A big thumbs up to AA for this.

How do they know you are UA 1K or other elite?

I think so, as there are reports on the TOBB that matched 1Ks are receiving the AAdmirals passes as well.

I also received the passes. They're not useful for me since I carry AmEx Plat, but it's a great, and appreciated, gesture. I can't even get UA to give me miles from acruable flights or credit properly other flights and here's AA actually trying to woo me.

If you don't need them, I'd be happy to dispose of them for you ;)

Yes, wife called yesterday and said 3 came in the mail for me. Of course she somehow took ownership of them because I am in Europe. So, nice move on AA part again, they really are trying to make us 1K's feel appreciated over here!

It sounds like it's only going out to the status matched folks, and as part of the match, we had to send in a picture/copy of our 1K credentials.

Got 3 yesterday - nice gesture on AA's part.
Was in the 2nd round of AA status match - (8 SWU's if I complete 30K bis by end of Aug).
As there was other travel (on UA) already booked, and summer fares were generally high, will make much of the 30 K by MSY...SJU, w/ a nested SJU...HNL inside of that.
Remain impressed that everybody I've dealt w/ at AA (phone agents so far) has been cordial and helpful, trying to find Q fares on a crazy routing (MSY-dfw-mco-mia-SJU) that couldn't be booked on line.
Have not received the invite to make EXP next year w/ 55K flying this year - hope I get that one too, but not so far and perhaps not likely due to booking low cost high mileage tickets...

Mr Silver Springer and I are doing similar flights to get the 30K EQMs by August. At first Mr. Silver Springer only got the EXP next year with 55K EQMs, I called customer service to see if they could add me to that promotion. While they said they couldn't I got the invitation the day after my call. You may want to try it.

I'm one of the UA 1K's who did the original status match and was given EXP with the 8 SWU's. Now the 3 lounge passes. I'm very surprised and to be honest, feeling a little bit guilty as I haven't yet stepped foot on an AA plane all year - but am definitely going to and will do my hardest to requalify under the reduced threshold of 55K. As far as I'm concerned, AA are doing all they can and are doing a great job.

In my several years of experience, AA regularly sends out AC passes in the hope you'd become a paying member. My wife, who is a Gold, just got one for herself and one for an accompanying guest.
