Marriott's Cambridge guests may find it easier to connect with others staying at the hotel thanks to a new social app that the hotel is testing in partnership with MIT. Six Degrees, the social app, examines hotel guests LinkedIn profiles for commonalities (mutual interests, schools, former employers, home towns...) and sends notifications to guests who may be interested in meeting up. Marriott's hoping to help its guests make professional connections during their stays.
