Marathon To Watch This Weekend – And A Great Light Show

    Tomorrow is the Los Angeles Marathon with over 26,000 runners toeing the starting line. The starting time is not exactly the same time that all the runners had signed up at, however. Because of expected record heat, organizers have moved the start time back 30 minutes – from 7:25am to 6:55am. This will allow better spacing amongst the runners and give them a bit of reprieve from the sun and the heat of the morning. Last night, to celebrate the marathon, the LA Marathon course was lit by 26 lights at the mile markers of the race. It was lit for a little over 90 minutes by 124 spotlights, courtesy of title sponsor ASICS. People that spotted the show were encouraged to post the shots on social media with the hashtag #ABC7Eyewitness. I have never run the marathon itself but have run much of the actual course and it is a very scenic one! Being able to see it lit up in the sky had to be pretty cool – watch...
