Just tried and couldn't figure out a way to manually create and enter my AAdvantage numbers. Not that much work for me to once a month or so enter current balance, and it would be nice to see it on the same page as all the rest...

You can definitely do it as long as the name you enter for the program doesn't even remotely resemble AA or American Airlines. Name the account something like "Favorite Program" and don't add in a link to connect to the AA website.

I called it Advantage & didnt put aa.com or anything related in the information. Just login name; balance & exp date.

Thanks so much. This is a reasonable solution to an annoying problem.

Do they (AwardWallet) really look for the name of the aaccount and disallow anything that looks like AA/American Airlines? And does AA really make them do this? If so, there's my question for that upcoming chat.

They are in bAAnkruptcy. Do they seriously have nothing more important to worry about than where their customers store there mileage balances... manually (!) entered, of course? Is a Google Docs spreadsheet good enough for them? Sigh!

Not sure if I'd name my folder "My favorite program" after the hassle i had to go through. Haha.

In all seriousness though, what's the point of "tracking" my account if I had to enter the numbers manually?

Not much in my case, though I do like to have my husband's FF # stored in the same place as everywhere else for the rare occasion when I need his AA login info.
