Malaysia Airlines is now under new leadership, and is undergoing radical changes: -- Malaysia is trying to sell all of their A380s and some of their 777s, in an effort to transform into more of a regional airline -- The airline plans to lay off 6,000-8,000 workers in order to cut costs, which is well over 30% of their workforce -- Malaysia plans to rebrand as of September 1, 2015, and will also form a new company, to which they'll transfer all of their assets As I've explained before, Malaysia sure seems like they're in a "screwed if they do, screwed if they don't" situation. They plan on transforming into more of a regional carrier.
