    The IATA Annual General Meeting is in Miami right now, which is an event attended by almost all the "big wigs" in the airline industry. There's always some interesting buzz which comes out of these, at least in terms of better understanding how airline CEOs think. I don't think there's an airline in more of a transitionary stage than Malaysia right now, given that they're under new leadership: -- Malaysia is trying to sell most of their A380s and 777s, in an effort to transform into more of a regional airline -- The airline plans to lay off 6,000-8,000 workers in order to cut costs, which is well over 30% of their workforce -- Malaysia plans to rebrand as of September 1, 2015, and will also form a new company, to which they’ll transfer all of their assets -- The airline plans on introducing a new business class product, recognizing that's needed in order to lure high revenue premium flyers The post Malaysia Airlines CEO Wants To Unbundle Business Class appeared first on One Mile at a Time.
