Malaysia Airlines unveiled their first Airbus A380 aircraft yesterday which bears the airline’s special livery, designed to celebrate the introduction of the aircraft to the airline’s Kuala Lumpur-London service which runs from the beginning of July.

The livery was applied to the aircraft in Toulouse, post-delivery. It has been designed by Malaysia Airlines System specifically for the new A380 flagship aircraft. Altogether, Malaysia Airlines has six of the A380 aircrafts on order; the aircrafts are configured with three cabins which include both a business class cabin and first class cabin. The aircraft has a total capacity of 494 seats.

Malaysia Airlines System explained that the demand from Business Class customers has increased, leading to the 64 seat capacity Business Class cabin to be overbooked on one flight from London. Another flight departing from Kuala Lumpur was also overbooked; the airline said this is an encouraging prospect.
