Something to which we can all relate.
Agreed, though airlines like KLM do try to show they care.
I think there are a lot of things we, as frequent fliers, can do.
If you notice someone in the airport looking lost and bewildered, ask them if you can help them find their destination.
If you see an elderly person at the gate who obviously doesn't know "the drill" ask them if they need any help. They may not know when they are supposed to board.
If you have language skills and can assist someone who is obviously having difficulty communicating, offer to assist.
Some of us are so preoccupied with getting from point A to point B that we don't even see people who need help. But if we can contribute our experience and knowledge we can make the difference between someone making or missing a flight, or having a great or terrible time.
