Luggage issues due to AA/US not talking to each other

    I know AA/US is now one, but their lost luggage folks aren't talking to each other. Normally this would be funny; except for one thing, they lost our bags. If I wasn't proactive, my bags (still not delivered after 48 hours) would still be hanging out at EWR.

    I'm promised delivery between now and 0200 east coast time.

    Details

    We flew in first on AA 176 NRT/DFW. Our DFW/EWR was cancelled due to weather. We were re-routed DFW/PHL/HPN. Needless to say the final carrier US, was responsible. Only issue is US and AA missing luggage computers don't talk. It's all gotta be manually checked.

    My phone rang at 0300 eastern time. Bags delivered.
