LH recently won an award celebrating their systems that make the passenger experience a positive one when in an airport. I got into some of the details in my blog post.

Whilst I concur on MUC, I personally find FRA very inefficient particularly when in transit. The process, time and hassle factor of changing between terminals with LH is problematic regardless of ones status with LH.

agreed, I much prefer MUC, but my desire to fly on the 744 or visit FCT trump what is more efficient!

Welcome to MP oztraveler. I agree that transiting through FRA is not a fun experience and It's the opposite for MUC.

Key to get around in FRA very easily is to leverage the internal people mover.
You'll have to exit airside area and take secutity again (coming from non Schenghen is not extra) but it much faster and less walking.
One thing to avoid is to walk to the tunnel that connects A and B.

In FRA I also like the arrival lounge.
