Lufthansa has unveiled a new, improved $3.7 million lounge for its premium travelers at Newark’s Terminal B.

The lounge has 3,991 square feet of floor space, enough room for 129 passengers, or about 30-square-feet per passenger — which does not sound like much if you picture a 6-foot-by-5-foot elevator, but seems like plenty when you also picture rows of tightly spaced, molded seats on a metal grid by a departure gate.

Thanks for posting, sobore! That is indeed great news, as the old Lufthansa lounge at EHR didn't quite measure up to the others I've been to, either in the US or abroad. Now, if only the US (AA, DL, UA, US) air carrier lounges would pay attention to this competition, especially that provided by Lufthansa, the air travelling public would certainly benefit! ;)
