Posted a trip report on my blog covering our flight. For those interested, you can visit it here.
As economy flyer it is always a joy to see like the other half flies! Cheers and thanks for sharing on MP!
Soemhow this happens everyday, people need to purchase their own scales!
Going to check it out once back on the ground. Thanks for reporting.
Thanks for posting! great pictures....
I wonder if the 343s are converted with the new seats yet?
With regards to the 8kg, how strongly are they enforcing that for F pax? I'm one of those who tends to carry a good sized carry on but is much heavier than it looks..
I have never ever seen enforcement for F or C pax.
The 340's are in the middle of their changeovers. The A340's that are done are primarily the one's serving MUC. The 747's were the priority for FRA.
I'm flying the 343 from CGK to MUC in September continuing on the 346 to SFO. So am I to expect the brand new seats? I'm still considering changing my trip to a full RTW instead.
Well, good on the carry-on. I'm rather worried about that since I've never flown on LH in my life.
Thank you for all the info!
Some 343's are retrofitted with the new F and are mainly based at MUC as 744 said. The seats are the same but the side storage is smaller for obvious reasons. The biggest difference is a slow IFE system compared to the A380 which isn't surprising either...
Slower IFE and smaller side storage? Hmm... Well that's something of a turn off.. Is this the case with the 346s as well?
Not sure only flew the 343 from MUC-EWR along with the 380 from NRT-FRA
Ah ok, thanks!
I flew the A346 from ORD to MUC on the 10th in F, Good TR.
I've seen the birthday thing in Y on SQ .
Maybe thry just check the passenger manifests from time to time.
SFO has been known to weigh and tag the carry-on for C and F.
A pity that the UA F lounge is the lounge for LH F pax @ ORD.
Thanks for the report, really enjoyed reading it. Also great to see how the FA really seemed to enjoy her job.
Thats an understatement!
Fun report, thanks! I am slowly saving my miles with the hope of treating myself and the Mrs. to a Lufthansa First experience someday. We haven't yet decided where to go, but that will be half the fun.
Right now 65,000 miles gets you one way F on LH from ORD to HKG via FRA..... thats a lot of F time for the miles.
