If you have status with Air Canada you can bring a guest to the lounge (don't know whether the guest has to fly with Air Canada or it can be any other airline of 'Star Alliance' )?
Is it the same for all the other airlines (i.e. can you bring a guest) ?

    Thank you

If you have Star Gold status then you can bring one guest in any time you are permitted access to a lounge. The guest must also be flying on any *A-operated flight departing the airport where the lounge is that day but not necessarily the same flight as the passenger with the status who is getting them in.

Welcome to MP cynical traveler! Enjoy your stay here.

And yes, if you have Star Gold status and flying a *A carrier you are entitled to guest 1 person to the lounge. Your guest must also be flying a *A carrier from that airport, although not necessarily on the same flight as yours.
