Priority Pass had just announced a big bunch of lounge changes primarily in the USA. Many of these will affect people who are not PP members.

A number of UA lounges are closing (permanently).

Other UA lounges are changing their opening hours.

The AS Boardroom at SFO is closing.

The AF lounge at LAX T2 is closing.

KLM at IAH and AF at ORD are changing their hours.

Non-airline PP lounges at BWI and EWR are changing their hours.

EWR has a new lounge, apparently called Art and Lounge.

Despite the merger, I didn't notice any changes affecting AA/US lounges, but few if any of them have participated in PP so I wouldn't expect such changes to be listed here.

MSPeconomist, can you identify which UA lounges are scheduled to close? I can't find this information elsewhere, including at www.united.com.

Interestingly, the "Chesapeake Club Lounge" at BWI is the only lounge in this seemingly ever-expanding airport. Is it time for the first-of-it's-kind WN-sponsored airport lounge at BWI? ;)

It's the Chesapeake Club Lounge at BWI, which might be the only lounge in that airport.

I got the information in an email I received from PP. Try prioritypass.com and look for lounge updates, especially in the North American region.

To be quite fair to UA, some of the kerfuffle is due to
consolidation: for example, the Boston closings are
because the A and C operations will both be merged
into one in B. I don't know what if anything this will
do to the UC relationship with PP, though.

BWI also has the AIrspace Lounge. AmEx Platinum cards will get you in. The "new" EWR lounge in B is more about access moving from one to another and now outside security.

There's no indication that NON-Select PP cards won't still get access to (most or all) UA lounges. Every one that was listed for changes in operating hours had the standard words at the bottom about needing a full PP membership for access.
