    Hi,

In May my extended family will be making a trip to Hamburg (The German one in case there is any doubt). There are going to be 13 of us, 8 adults and 5 children. I was wondering if any of you could make any suggestions on where to stay. We want to be fairly central but my youngest niece is dairy intolerant so I was wondering if self catering might be the way to go.

Can any one recommend anywhere? Make any suggestions as to where I should be looking?

    Thanks,

    Roz.

I've stayed at the Park Hyatt Hamburg and the Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten. Both were very nice but on opposite ends of the spectrum with regards to style with the Park Hyatt being quite modern and the Vier Jahreszeiten being very old world. In terms of access to town and elsewhere, the Park Hyatt was probably located best as it's near the train terminal, Mönckenbergstraße Ubahn station and shopping.
