So I'm doing my research to do an app o Rama and so far the only good cards I see is to do the 2 browser trick and hope for 100k AA miles...the priority card for 80k isn't had either but what other cards would you guys and gals suggest for European travel?

Should I be waiting until something big comes out and risk not applying for the aa cards and priority at 80k?

    Thanks!

The first question is what your goals are. Also, what points / programs do you currently have?

Once people have that information they can possibly give you some help.

Good point. So I have the chase sapphire united SPG and Amex gold card.

    I have about 65k united
65 in UR and on my way to hitting the min spend for AA so 100k there.

This AOR is for my wife who doesn't have any cards except a few old ones. The goals are Europe, namely Paris and London, Israel and Japan.

    Hope that helps :)

For those trips are you looking for Y, C or F booking? Makes a significant difference.

Do you know what banks pull from which bureaus?

As a potential add to your AA applications (Citi) you might think of adding a US Airways card on the bet that AA and US Airways do eventually merge.

To add to the mix, you might get a Chase Sapphire or UA card.

For an AMEX hit, I would suggest possibly a HHonors AMEX card so you can start getting hotel points.

Didn't you hit up Chase for a new card just a month ago?

Your cards may matter if you want to travel with your wife to Europe! ;)

If she does the 2 AA cards and you have 2 of them, that should take care of your travel to Europe.

Perhaps she could apply for the Hyatt card for 2 free nights or the SPG card for some cash and points stays in Europe?

Hey Darius....big fan of your blog...good point...sure this trip will be taken care of but I'd wanna make this an AOR so good point on the SPG...so I' think it will be the SPG, the 2 AA cards-assuming it works...maybe the sapphire but 40k is a little low.
