I have a 20-hour overnight layover in MUC tomorrow. Originally it was only going to be a 10 hour layover through the night so I have booked a room at an airport hotel. Now I am starting to wonder if I should go into town -- flight arrives at 8 pm leaves at 4 pm. . How easy is it to get into town from the airport on the train with big luggage? Any SPG properties near the train station?

    Thanks for the advice.

There's a Sheraton at the airport that requires a shuttle bus. Other hotels are closer to the suburban light rail station for transportation into the city. There's also a very nice Kempinski right in the airport, IIRC now GHA hotels or whatever the new grouping of associations is calling itself where signing up for the program gets you free Internet access, sometcheap rooms are cheap and sometimes very expensive.
