Similar to the 4Square promo they had recently, but this one is through Facebook Places.

    https://www.facebook.com/americanexpress?v=app_216352075054740

You basically "like" (read: install) their app, link your card and then you get deals through Facebook Places. So you could go shopping and check-in at Whole Foods and you get $5 back or $25 back at Lord & Taylor (assuming you used your AmEx to pay, of course).

The full T&C (rather lengthy) is available once you go through the process of linking your card.

Right now, it's showing 'too much love' and isn't taking more signups....so that's why for now.

For the amount of visits my wife makes to Whole Foods, this will be a meaningful savings for us... (once we can sign up)

    Terms:
To be eligible to receive a $5 statement credit, you must click the 'Confirm' button and use your linked Card account to make a single purchase of $20 or more at the listed merchant through 8/31/11. Limit one statement credit per Cardmember. Registration is limited. Statement credits are generally issued within 2-3 business days after your qualifying purchase, but may take up to 2 billing periods to post to your account. Program Terms and Conditions apply; click below for details.

So it looks like you can save $5.00.

Yeah $5 for a $20 purchase isn't worth the hassle... unless you break up all your purchases into $20 bundles, but that's just a hassle.

Some of the other offers -- like a $25 credit with $100 purchase -- are actually not that bad IMO.

Sports authority has two offers now which are stackable I understand. A little less than half off a $100 purchase iirc.

I was sceptical about this one and I couldn't work out how you could see what you had signed up for. I took the Westin $40 off a room of $100 or more, made a booking last night and this morning I had an email about the credit.

Congratulations! You saved on your purchase by using the American Express® Card you linked with Facebook. Expect a statement credit in 3-5 days.

Very little effort for $40 back in my pocket.

Is there a place anywhere that has all the offers listed out in one spot? The FB page is loading slowly for me, and it's a pain to keep clicking "show me more" just to see more offers.

Fantastic! Stayed at a Westin on Friday night, $40 credit posted to my Amex account posted Saturday. BTW, would have been annoyed at how much I paid for the shabby Westin LAX without that credit!

you might prefer the Sheraton Gateway next time. In fact, you could use the promo there, too, if you have a stay before 8-31.

I used the $5 off $20 at Whole Foods. By time I got home the email was in my inbox to tell me the credit would show on my statement.
