Of interest to those arriving to Heathrow this Thursday: UK Border Agency staff participating in massive public sector strike. Delays/queues expected at Passport Control.

Perhaps this may be big, or perhaps it's a big bust and fewer than estimated really do strike. The strike is primarly centered around teacher protests. Tube/transport strikes, originally slated for this week as well, have been cancelled. Neither BA nor AA have notices posted, and both airline offices here are taking a "watch this space" approach at the moment.

With LHR it is always wise to adapt an "expect the worst" attitude in situations like this.

I flew into LHR on June 30th and there was no noticeable difference at all, despite being warned. There were happily no delays!
