Which lounge provides the best option for getting some winks on a layover?

We will be arriving T3 in BA F and departing over 12 hours later in QF F. The BA F lounge is nice but I didn't see any sleeping nooks unless I missed them.

Any recommendations for a lounge to hit up in T3 to get the best chance of some sleep between flights? I would hate to waste the F experiences on sleep!!

Are you sure you're landing in T3 and not T5?

CX and AA have lounges but from memory they aren't remarkably better in terms of sleeping options than the BA T3 lounge.

You can always rent a few hours at the Yotel in T4. LINK.

You are right, we come in to T5. I've been traveling for ~48 hours, forgive me.

Does the arrival terminal affect sleep options?

    I've seen the Yotel...but I would prefer free :)

The Yotel is in T4, which is not practical if connecting...you'd have to clear UKBA, change terminals, etc. I've never noticed anywhere appealing for sleeping in the lounges...

You might want to check the Sleeping in Airports website.

If your traveling in first class, the concorde lounge in terminal 5 offers private cabanas, which i've slept in in the past. I don't think they are available all night though (so if your arriving midday and want to catch 4 or 5 hours of sleep it may be perfect for ya).

    Great lounge too.

Thanks. I've emailed You First to see if we can reserve a cabana and also pre-book a spa treatment. We arrive earlyish (7AM or so) -- and I think I did read elsewhere that you can book a cabana for up to 4 hours. This might be our best option: pop in to the arrivals lounge early and catch some winks in a cabana if we're able to secure one, then head out into the city for a bit before returning later that day for our onward flight to SIN.

I'm afraid that is not going to work. While you arrive at T5 you'll be departing from T3, thus you will _not_ have access the the airside departure lounges in terminal 5.

You will, however, have access to the landside Arrivals lounge in T5 and the Spa there. As a first class passanger you'll also have access to the infinity bath and the Concorde Breakfast room inside the arrivals lounge.

If you are looking for a place to sleep for a couple of hours may I recommend getting a day room at the Sofitel? It is connected to T5 and is only a couple of minutes by foot from the terminal.

Seems OP has already taken the trip and discovered this already. They ended up enjoying the Arrivals Lounge, BA T3, and AA FL: LINK.

Indeed that is correct -- thanks for the link, DestinationDavid.

I'll be flying BA F again early next month via LHR to CPT, so hopefully will get to use a cabana then. I've also contacted YouFirst to try to book for that trip...fingers crossed.

But I will keep in mind the Sofitel day room option -- thanks for that tip!
