So we flew FRA-SEA in first class last Friday and enjoyed the flight and the FCT a great deal. To our surprise we were given a gift just prior to landing. Its a nice silverware pair of fork and spoon from Robbe & Berking. The box is embossed with the LH logo and "Lufthansa First Class".

I know that Asiana is known for giving a gift to First Class passengers (we received very nice Links of London passport covers on this trip), but I've not heard of LH doing this. Is it something new that they've started?

I haven't heard of this, but it would be great news as I have a trip booked over the summer. It looks like they've brought back rimowa kits per the FT thread, so there's another thing to look forward to.

Actually I think this is a great idea. Make it a collectable item and people will try and book their next flight again on LH.

The concept of the miniature delft houses that KLM gives out in biz is one of the main reasons I still consider KLM for transatlantic biz flights. I now have about half of the 100 available houses or so.

Neat. I'll be FC on LH in June. hope they are still gifting.

  8. Personally, I can't imagine a gift which an airline would give to me that would influence my flight selection. Any gift will likely be nice, but small, -- a token, really. So, while it's nice, it doesn't influence the buy decision for me. How do others feel?

ORD - MUC a couple days ago - no gift... so suspect this isn't completely rolled-out yet if, in fact, that is even the intention...

We received the silver ware on Tuesday when we flew FRA/SEA. When she handed them out she said, "Ooops, I almost forgot. These are new."

    Perhaps only an FRA promotion?

Any pics of these? Are these only on US bound flights, or are they handed out on flights to Asia as well? Any idea if these will still be handed out in May?

Good Day: Flew in and out of FRA in First but received no First Class Silverware gift. However on the way back to the USA on 4/20 I received a Chocolate Easter Bunny by Hachez. Also on both flights received the Rimowa First Class Kit. bunny.jpg

I flew MUC-LAX on Tuesday, and got the same thing. Rimowa amenity kit, and Chocolate easter bunny.

As an aside, also had really nice service. Can't complain when they urge you to have seconds of the caviar!

A couple of recent LH F flights. No gift. No chocolate easter bunny. No breakfast menu for one of the flights.

You must be a HON circle or SENATOR Miles&More member- the amenities mentioned above are typically only for new customers, or Star Alliance members (particular bonus for US Airlines)- you have already drunk the Miles&More kool aid- thus no further investments required.

What does one do with a fork and spoon set? I'm not one to pass on free gifts, but at least I know what to do with a chocolate rabbit. Does anyone use these regularly, or do you save them like collectible spoons?
