I just saw a promotion on LH's homepage:
Is this new?
I think this has to do with the codeshare LH has with SQ. What Lufthansa is promoting is that you now can fly with the superjumbo all the way from FRA to SYD, but as I have understood it, it has nothing to do with LH launching a route "Down Under". It is simply fly LH A380 to SIN ( SIN being a new destination for LH A380) and connect to SQ A380 to SYD.
Yup, that's what it is. Interestingly enough, it looks like you can also connect on the Qantas A380.
For some reason, flying on any Qantas plane isn't very appealing nowadays.
