LGA Bomb Scare -- Six Hours late
Ooops...watch out for those possible pipe bombs...
I feel safer.
Oops is right but which oops does one start with?
Or maybe this one?
I'm sure everyone feels much safer now, right?
This agency, and indeed the department within which it resides must be disbanded at all cost. Hopefully, ongoing incidents such as this will have an impact on lawmakers wary of the cost of protecting US aviation from a non-existent threat.
thanks for the summary, it's helpful to not need to visit the whole story
Pathetic. Once you build a system like the TSA with all the wages they pay how is it possible to shut down the monster? It is out of control. Airport security has quantity but not quality.
I had a bomb scare @ JFK this past July because somebody left a bag unattended in the Admirals Club...
Only took 45 minutes though. That goes to show you that even for bomb scares elites have higher status.
The saddest part of the whole story is that the first guy was so close to doing things the right way. Looks like a bomb, but test comes up negative, so cleared. I can understand not letting him take it due to the appearance, but then he just left them there??? So close...
No, the sad part is that is if something ever did go "kaboom," even if TSA ineptitude was involved, the TSA would likely grow even more, and get even MORE funding.
I hope nothing drastic will ever happen.
However, if they will get more funding, they will get even better nudoscopes, but still will require us to remove shoes and even socks (more man power=more time to go through TSA)
not if you were in a DL lounge. it's not real cheese, remember?
