I was there late July and they did not serve any alcohol at that time - thought it an aberration of the day; maybe not?

An alcohol restriction would mean I have a visiting restriction

Interesting that the lounge owner according to the license is Swissport not Air Canada or LAX World.

Despite the new license being over a week old, I was there on Saturday and no booze was present.

Hmmm. Did you show them the license and say "where's my drink, you're legal?"

Of course, maybe the operating restrictions still prevent them from being legal.

Swissport operates lots of lounges in Europe, they can easily do the same for a dedicated AC lounge as well, with a spec defined by AC.

Hmm... I could see that quote getting me into trouble in other situations outside the lounge ;)

I have to admit I didn't question it, as I felt lucky enough I skipped the 45-min security screening wait. Just approached an agent at the front to ask if there was a Pre-Check lineup, was told no, but she opened a rope and told me to catch up to a group on the elevator.
