    Good thinking, these fees have gotten out of hand and should be regulated properly! Can the authorities in each country do it? Big doubt!:rolleyes:

    It seems the EU likes to try....but that does not necessarily go very well. Using fees in the US as an example, the government limited the fee for using a credit card (merchant fee, I believe), so in turn many banks will start charging a fee for the customer using their debit card for purchases...basically anything but using the ATM...

    There will always be a way for banks to charger their costumers through the nose, regarding regulation, it's sad that for the EU that they cannot a grip against the few big banks who seem to dominate the market right now, despite many taxpayer paid dearly for them to bail them out in the first place.
