It seems that the future of the Aviation Museum at YXD is in jeopardy because of the narrow-mindedness of City Council. Given the important history of this airport in aviation history -- it was the base of so many of the great bush pilots flying into the north, including a fellow named Ward; it was a stop on the first circumnavigation of the globe by Australian pilot Kingsford Smith; Emilia Earhart flew through many times in her career... -- the museum must be supported by a city that seems more interested in celebrating the faux historical link to the Klondike that it never had than acknowledging its own true history!

The biggest problem with the aviation museum is their executive director.
