Last cars cross eastern span as Bay Bridge closes

    I'm not going to miss the "s-curve" for one second. Good riddance. :D

    Last car through the toll plaza was a yellow Model T Ford. Watched it "live" on KRON.

    I believe it was a Model A.

    Looking at the freeway traffic on various newscasts today, all I can say is I'm glad to be flying from Sacramento on Friday morning and not SFO. :) Can see it would be a bit of a challenge to get down there via the San Mateo Bridge with everyone else for a morning departure (and I still worry about parking there on the big holiday weekends).
